Bought size 12 for 10 year old who is 147cm tall and slim. They fit on the waist but there isn’t much growing room, which wasn’t what I expected. They are slightly on the long side but will be ok with boots on.
Firstly, these are amazing quality pants - ten times better than The North Face pants which I also tried for my daughters and which are also more than twice the price! The only problem with these is that they are too small around the crotch and waist. My ten year old is quite slim and tried the size 10 which although although was fine in the length was too tight around the crotch. Her sister who has a slightly larger bum tried the 12 and that was also too tight and also way too long. Both complained that the trousers were giving them "wedgies". The North Face trousers which are of far inferior quality were a better fit in that they were bigger around the bum and waist and were even a bit too roomy for the slimmer of my two daughters. It looks like Decathlon sizes for children in continetal Europe who must be slimmer than UK children and the North Face must size for larger American children. It's a shame because the Decathlon trousers really are fantastic quality and worth every penny!
I bought the age 12 trousers for my 12yr old but they wouldn't even come close to doing up around the waist and were tight around her legs. She is a slim athletic girl so I am surprised these fit many people at all. Didn't have age 14 in the store to try instead, but other age 14 trousers were too long anyway so we went with another style. Shame as these are a lovely colour.
Thanks for your feedback. These trousers have the Pull'n'Fit system which allows you to adjust the length of the trousers. It's essentially a zipper system on the side of the pants making it possible to make the legs shorter or longer. The 14 year old size might have worked for your daughter.

Konečně perfektně padnoucí zimní kalhoty pro mladé slečny. Hlavně pro ty drobnější! Velikost odpovídá věku.
Unser Sohn ist sehr schlank (12J., 150cm, 31kg)und für ihn eine Hose zu finden, die auch nur ansatzweise am Bund passt, ist extrem schwer. Aber diese passt endlich mal perfekt. Am Bund, sowie an den Oberschenkeln ist sie nicht zu weit geschnitten. Daher finde ich die Hose perfekt für uns, kann aber die Kritik der anderen verstehen. Für " Normalgewichtige Kinder" ist sie sicher zu eng geschnitten.
Die Hose hat eine gute Qualität. Die Länge ist okay und auch die verstellbare Länge ist super. Die Hose ist nur viel zu eng.
Meine Tochter ist sehr sportlich und schlank, aber bei dieser Hose fehlt eine ganze Handbreite, um sie zu zu bekommen - wer soll so eine Hose tragen? Sehr schade, da die Qualität einen guten Eindruck macht...

Padding thermal insulation
Thermal insulation will keep your young skiers at the right temperature, neither too hot nor too cold. The garment adapts to the body's physical activity and to the outside environment. Wedze uses padding for insulation to keep the body warm. This synthetic polyester-based padding traps more or less air depending on the size of its fibers. So the thicker the padding, the more air it contains and the warmer it is.
Membrane
The membrane is a very fine component applied to the inner surface of the jacket's outer fabric. This hydrophilic component prevents water from seeping in (snow, rain, etc.) while allowing the perspiration produced by the body to escape.
Fully taped seams
In addition to using a waterproof fabric, we have made these pants even more watertight by taping the seams. Its adhesive, waterproof strips are affixed on all the seams of the pants, inside the jacket, to make it perfectly watertight and guarantee complete water-resistance.

To keep your legs warm and dry, you need 2 layers: 1 skiing base layer to wick away perspiration and 1 pair of ski pants to protect from the weather and provide warmth.
